Of course parents should/could make the time to spend with their kids and discuss the issues on this show in a supportive, non-threatening way but many would not. Some kids might relate to it but I wonder if they're not the more troubled ones who would benefit from viewing healthier relationships and living habits. I know many parents aren't that great but does it help to show them so bad that they are incredibly mean to their kids and stupid in their shallow attitudes? I don't think so. Just try working on a film set and display just an INKING of anti-authority thinking! You're thrown off the set and blacklisted!! NO KIDDING! It's an industry that doesn't practice what it preaches AT ALL so I don't understand why they like to promote this behavior other than for. It is not helpful to present these things as cool, just as the anti-social/anti-adult attitudes presented are not something to aspire to. I realize young people are aware of these things, experiment and are curious about them however Hollywood (these days) always seems to make them appear as something "cool" without exploring them with any intelligence or reality. In any case, I would not want my young child, watching this as they promote sex (especially same sex attractions), smoking and drugs. Why do they speak so low to their audience these days? Do they simply make negative assumptions or are they simply more in tune with the masses more than I want to believe? That's one of the things that happens to us as we age, we see the redundancy of most Hollywood product and see it gets worse and worse as it tries to remake the past. I doubt I can watch any more as I find it shallow, trite and just a recycling of so many shows geared to youth. I watched just one episode and a little of the 2nd. I am not the audience for this show, I am speaking more from a parent's view I suppose though I have no kids.
